Capitol Hill Block Party 2013

Capitol Hill
Block Party 2013

The festival this year brought back the sweet sound of Pacific Northwest rock and the already familiar sounds of hip hop. Beginner auditor of rock, The Flaming Lips performed an amazing set. Musically live, I don’t think 1 fan was left disappointed. Tucked away from main stage, the electric soundsof – Seattle based musician Scot Porter aka Vox Mod had the listeners entranced with the repetitive rhythm of bongo drums and electronica. The whole crowd was in daze that produced anunconscious body wave. If you came to the party to dance, DJAtrak did the most awesome mash up of hip-hop favorites and electronica. I recommend researching this young dj’s career and seeing him live the next time he jet sets to your city. All in all Seattle had amazing festival weather, Capitol hill has the perfect atmosphere for listening to live music, and each act bought their own intriguing creativity that left the music lover wanting more.
