Although most of the crowd came to see Aerosmith, Kid Rock impressed everyone and put on a great show. The highlights included Devil Without a Cause (the late, great Joe C appeared via a camera) and Bawitaba. Not to mention the set of pole dancers that decorated each corner of the stage.

That Kid Rock is an amazing entertainer. If you can get the crowd pumped up for a headliner like Aerosmith, your future is looking bright.

In 1998, Kid Rock signed with Atlantic Records, who released Devil Without a Cause in 1998. That same year, the Detroit Red Wings chose the opening rap from Early Morning Stoned Pimp, which boasts the phrase "Ain't no party like a Detroit party/ 'Cause a Detroit party don't stop," as their victory chant.

Kid's latest, The History Of Rock, which features remixed/ re - recorded versions of older material as well as a couple of new tracks, was released in 2000. It's still rocking the airwaves and the people.
