Fall Out Boy
The Young Wild Things Tour

Today, Fall Out Boy announced ‘The Young Wild Things Tour' their Fall arena tour, with supporting acts Gym Class Heroes, Plain White Ts and Cute Is What We Aim For. The tour begins October 18th in Columbus Ohio at Schottenstein. Dates will run through December 2nd. Dates to be announced shortly-check www.falloutboyrock.com for the itinerary.

Continuing their commitment to their fans, Fall Out Boy fans will have access to tickets before they are available to the general public. The Overcast Kids (Fall Out Boy’s official fan club, www.overcastkids.com) have first crack at the pre-sale. Starting today, fans can go to www.falloutboyrock.com for a chance to unlock the tour date in their city and win tickets to the show. They can also participate in a t-shirt design contest for a cash prize.

Once the first round of dates are unlocked, the pre-sales will start. Fans will have the opportunity to buy via the fan club and then from their phones via text message. The mobile pre-sale (powered by ShopText) will be bundled with a special tour t-shirt designed by the fans and chosen by the band. Also, each winners’ image will be featured on falloutboyrock.com. Friendsorenemies.com is hosting another way for fans to be famous, by announcing a contest for the best video. The offer is to submit your own personal video and showcase your talent; the winner will co-host a Fall Out Boy show in their geographical area. The tour will be about everyone’s own fame –putting their videos out there. More opportunities for fans to become tour stars will be announced shortly.

This year’s MTV VMA nominations are in, and multi-platinum, two-time MTV VMA award-winning Island Records group Fall Out Boy – whose RIAA platinum new album INFINITY ON HIGH is in its 27th week on the Billboard 200 album chart after debuting at #1 – is on the way to the Moonman pick-up line with nominations for the ultra-competitive Monster Single of the Year Award (“Thnks Fr The Mmrs”), and the equally competitive Best Group Award. Fall Out Boy will perform at the broadcast, which happens live on MTV from the Strip in Las Vegas on Sunday night, September 9th, at 9:00 p.m. (ET)/8:00 (C).

Chicago’s Fall Out Boy traveled to Africa for the first time last month, and filmed a video with director Allen Ferguson in Uganda for their upcoming single, “I’m Like a Lawyer…(Me & You),” in partnership with the non-profit organization Invisible Children. The organization is dedicated to curbing the problem of children forced to flee their homes nightly, to find shelter miles away in hospitals or bus parks, in order to escape being abducted and pressed into service as child soldiers in the rebel LRA (Lord's Resistance Army).

“I’m Like a Lawyer…(Me & You)” will be the follow-up single to “The Take Over, The Breaks Over,” the third release from INFINITY ON HIGH, and the band’s sixth #1 video on MTV’s TRL countdown. Previously in April and May, “Thnks Fr Th Mmrs” hit #1 on the countdown several times, and was the #1 Most Added single at radio in May. “This Ain’t a Scene, It’s an Arms Race,” the new album’s first single pick, bulleted to #1 last winter on the Pop 100 charts, and made a #2 debut on the Hot 100 – the highest debut by a rock band since Aerosmith’s “I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing” in 1998.
